Why camp?

Man Repeller is an ever-growing treehouse of interesting women who appreciate raw honesty, good laughs, sticky conversations and coming together (online or off) to share opinions and experiences. What better way to elevate that IRL than a sleep away camp for adults with a smorgasbord of opportunities to engage in all of the above?

Camp Man Repeller will be our biggest off-line community activation yet, a chance to bring together over 100 community members (including Y-O-U) for a weekend of fun. As with all of our events, our goal is to get to know our online community better in person and, more importantly, for you to get to know each other and make a whole bunch of literal and/or metaphorical pen pals.

If you haven't already, be sure to sign up for our Community Newsletter here to get monthly updates about future festivities just like this.

Q. Where is Camp Man Repeller?

A. Camp Man Repeller is at Camp Echo Lake in New York’s Adirondack Mountains. For perspective, it’s about a three and a half hour drive from Manhattan.

Q. What weekend is Camp Man Repeller taking place?

A. The first weekend in June, from Friday June 2nd through Sunday June 4th.

Q: What time is check-in a.k.a. what time does this weekend-long party START?

A: You can start checking in at 2:00 PM, but for those of you who need to arrive later we’ll have check-in available through the rest of Friday evening

Q: What time is check-out?

A: Check-out is at 1:00 PM, after our final lunch together. For those of you who need to leave earlier, shuttles will be available beginning at 11:00 AM.

Q. Will transportation be provided to Camp?

A. A shuttle will be available from the Albany airport and from the nearby Greyhound bus station. We’ll have shuttles running from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM and will coordinate the logistics once you’ve signed up.

Q. Who’s invited?

A. Anyone age 21 and up, and no boys allowed!!!

Q. How much does it cost?

A. $290 paid at sign up, which includes accommodations, Man Repeller SWAG, meals, all activities and infinite memories.

Q. Very important: what kind of food will be served at Camp?

A. Great question. Food is important to us, too, which is why we’re breaking the stereotypical mold of “camp food” (beans in a can, anyone?) and customizing the Camp Man Repeller menu inspired by our favorite places to eat in New York. Think steel cut oatmeal, grain bowls, and fresh baked dark chocolate and sea salt cookies. We'll be serving communal meals and lots of snacks from Friday dinner through Sunday morning. Plus, we've made sure all animal products will be organic and vegetarian options will be abundant.

Q. What kinds of activities will we be doing?

A. FUNNY YOU SHOULD ASK… yoga, meditation, arts & crafts (like painting and jewelry making), swimming in heated pools and lakes, rock climbing, sky-track ropes course, nature hikes, tennis, basketball, baseball, Ga-Ga (it’s kind of like dodgeball — just trust us), talent shows, and maybe even a Beyonce dance class. In sum: you will not be bored.

Q. Will Team MR be there?

A. We wouldn’t miss it for the world. Check out our “Meet the Counselors” page to see who is attending from the Man Repeller staff.

Q. Can I request a roommate?

A. Yep! Everyone is entitled to one roommate request. If you and a friend both request each other, we’ll put you in the same cabin.

Q. If I sign up for Camp and change my mind I get a refund?

A. Unfortunately we are not able to offer refunds.
